April 6, 1849 (Friday)

Nothing worth recording to-day.

Walked about the streets this evening.

Stopped in an auction room, corner of 5th & Chestnut where they were selling foreign Chinaware, and a variety of other articles.

[Friday, April 6, 1849 was Good Friday.]

The auction room may have been Kerr’s China Hall located at 191 Chestnut Street.
