September 13, 1849 (Thursday)

Somewhat foggy this morning but soon became a most delightful day: so comfortably cool and pleasant.

Called on Miss E—a S—h this evening intending to take her to the H. Exhibition, but, expecting company, was unable to go.

Regular readers will know Miss E—a S—h is Emma Smith, possibly a relative or someone Nathan knows from his Norristown days.

For information on the Horticultural Exhibition, see yesterday’s post.
