November 14, 1849 (Wednesday)

What splendid weather we have.  It is almost winter, yet so mild and pleasant one can almost fancy the approach of Spring.  As to Fall weather, we have had none scarcely.

Called on Miss E—h S—d—n this evening.

As mentioned in other posts, Miss E—h S—d—n is likely Elizabeth Snowden, cousin to the McKays.
