Came to the city this morning, cloudy and very cold appearances indicate more snow—Snow fell towards evening. Spent the evening with friend Wm. Guest.  Had a game of cards.

This is one of the day that would be hard to beat in point of disagreableness—snowing, raining, and thawing: walking is horrible. Remained at home this evening and had a game of whist.

Most disagreeable day—cold and raining, which in addition to the snow that fell yesterday, makes the walking horrible. Stayed at home and had a game of “whist” this evening.

Sudden and great change. Early this morning it was clear but soon became cloudy and has been raining nearly all day, and evening which made advisable to keep in the house. Played a game of chequers with Miss A.J.

We appear to be destined to have some summer weather now, at all events. Remained at home this evening and had a game of whist. Came to the city this morning. Nathan had been in Norristown attending Mordecai Koplin’s funeral.
